Your Holiday Concert was a most enjoyable event for Joanne, myself and our two very dear Italian friends Rino and Nancy. We were truly impressed by the absolute control of your conductor over so many voices, in perfect harmonious dynamics. The discipline and attentiveness from each member of the choir, is a direct reflection of the professional quality of your choir. The accompanist was truly awesome and surely an accomplished musician. The audience was literally mesmerized. Congratulations to all for an outstanding performance.

Choosing the Toronto Welsh Choir (at Stratford Symphony Orchestra) for my birthday (79th) was a really wonderful choice. Because we forgot our tickets… we had to sit off to the side. We were next to the Timpanies and the harp, as well as the choir. The sound was bloody mind blowing. When you're that close, it's so immersive. That choir is just incredible. They did “Men of Harlech”, which was really rousing. Mary tells me her favourite was “Finlandia”. They performed that at the very end of the concert. The Toronto Welsh Male Voice Choir singers are just superb!!

Congratulations to the TWMVC for a great Christmas Concert!! We loved that the program included pieces like Finlandia and “Lean on Me” that are not (at least for us) usually associated with Christmas but are very inspiring and appropriate for this time of the year. The performance was fabulous! Every member of the Choir exudes energy and passion. The Conductor made it all happen harmoniously and he was so engaging. It is obvious that the Choir enjoys performing the program as much as the audience loved hearing it. Thank you for getting us into the spirit of the season!!

I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to you and all the members  of the Toronto Welsh Choir! The Program you presented to our audience was nothing short of “Superb”. As everyone exited the Church there were many Kudos. They were all so excited to have attended the evening and wanted to know when you are coming back. The piano interludes were a real treat! The sounds of these voices resonating in our church will not be soon forgotten. Thank you again

Your concert on October 21st was absolutely marvellous…an outstanding performance! I and the folks I was with were equally enthralled. The evening’s program was inspired…a wonderful selection of pieces to perform and we all so thoroughly enjoyed the humour and audience engagement…your pianist is incredible…and we were impressed with the members who also accompanied the choir on guitar and drum. What an incredible array of talent! Your conductor is quite the entertainer as well. We were seated right behind him and were amazed …I honestly thought he was going to levitate at one point! I just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed it …and we are very keen to attend a Christmas concert.

(From our FB Comments) My experience of the Toronto Welsh Male Choir, which performed at Humber Valley United Church this first Sunday of February, 2023, was one of the most wonderful musical experience I’ve had in years. The joy with which the men performed and the joy with which they were received by a full church audience was truly inspiring. I have always loved choral music, from the days my son sang with the Toronto Children’s Chorus and St. Michael’s Choir School, and this was over-the-top moving. Pieces such as “Still Here!”, “We Rise Again,” by Leon Dubinsky, “Lean on Me (We Shall Overcome)” were unspeakably moving. And to hear the Welsh national anthem, immediately followed by O Canada, accompanied on the organ by Matthew Coons, who also played solo piano pieces as interludes, had me in tears. To see the founder of the choir, at age 91, still singing in the front row — still here, looking not a day over 75, has me convinced that music is the fountain of youth!

What a fabulous concert! Chills from head to toe - from the booming anthems, hymns, folk songs, vocal and piano solos, to the clear diction, amazing harmonies and great singing. I was mesmerized by your incredible conductor - brilliant. Thank you for an afternoon of absolutely beautiful music. I wish you all the very best in your search for new choristers! It is so obvious that you are all great friends who love to sing together and spread your joy. Well done indeed! Many thanks

Your performance at St. Philips on-the-Hill tonight was a highlight for me ... in many ways. So many adjectives come to mind: powerful, passionate, resonating. Your choir is the epitome of 'embracing' music; there was no choice but to sway to the music or hum along. Thank you - it's the holiday spirit translated into beautiful and joyous sounds. Thank you!

Last Sunday's concert (December 1st at Martin Luther Church) by the Toronto Welsh Male Voice Choir was absolutely fabulous. The sound of the men's voices was strong, confident and nuanced. If some of the pieces were new, any hesitation was not noticeable. It really was a marvel to see the choir looking ahead at the conductor and into the audience with the discipline of music performed by heart. The conductor, Mr. Woloschuk, was able to accomplish his vision for each song by having the eyes of the singers focussed on his direction. I loved the phrasing he was able to shape to achieve a polished musical presentation. The order of songs carried the audience on an emotional celebration of the secular and sacred aspects of Christmas. I very much enjoyed how the choir approached the front platform from the back of the church singing "Sleigh Ride". The arrangement of "Mary , Did You Know?" was particularly effective in expressing the immense significance of Jesus' birth. The following "Suo Gan" was an example of the distinctive musical Welsh character in its simplicity and beauty of sound from the men's voices. And so the concert progressed to carry the listeners through tonal landscapes that showcased at times the tenor section, the bass section and various solo voices and added percussion effects. The audience participation carols were gloriously expanded by the choir in arrangements that uplifted well-known melodies. The piano accompanist, Matthew Coons, added sensitive support to the choir in his dynamics at the keyboard and also played well-chosen solos to highlight the Christmas season. The whole afternoon was so joyful and worked to evoke heartfelt appreciative sentiments from the audience who spontaneously gave the choir a standing ovation. The encore piece, "We Rise Again" secured the choir's power to inspire. Thank you for this special gift and may the Toronto Welsh Male Voice Choir prosper in all their future undertakings.

On my recent visit to Canada I attended the concert in Midland. It was most enjoyable and the standard was even higher than when I last saw the choir a year ago. I liked the variety of songs and hymns, thievery professional standard of harmony and timing, and the obvious enthusiasm of the conductor and singers, accompanied by an excellent pianist. The concert was well attended, the audience was appreciative and it all contributed to an excellent afternoon of entertainment. A good time was had by all. Thank you.

I want to thank you and all of your crew for the wonderful performance and the exceptional distances some travelled to join us at the Amethyst for ALS fundraiser at the Liuna Centre in Hamilton. The men of the choir made a very impressive show of support for our cause. The songs were beautiful and very well received by all, nothing but positive feedback.

The accolades continue to pour in! What a great evening it was for the parish and for Smiths Falls, not to mention Matty O'Shea's (your afterglow at the local pub). Your praises are certainly being sung around town and people are hoping for a return performance in the near future . . . next year or the year after perhaps..."

My husband, Colin Campbell sang with the choir for years. He passed May 20th but at the Service for the Celebration for his life, on entering the Sanctuary of Trinity Presbyterian Church, with my family, I was heartened to see the familiar green blazers of the TWMVC. That meant so much to me , not only because of the enjoyment Colin had sharing his love of music with them. I also did as well, as I attended most of their concerts and was fortunate enough to travel with them on the tour of Nova Scotia and PEI. Thank you to these gentlemen - friends! Cwm Rhondda was our last hymn. Thank you all. Shirley I was so saddened to hear of Clive’s passing, so soon after Colin’s.

Really enjoyed your recent concert in Bracebridge. We are particularly interested in hearing men's choirs as I am the Director of The Muskoka Men of Song...and there were many of our choristers in attendance at the Bracebridge concert. It was wonderful for me to watch your Director. Brilliant! Of course I loved the Bass section - good going gentlemen! Surprisingly directing the "goat" song was definitely a "rush"!! We hope some of your choir will come to our Muskoka men of Song choir concert on Friday, June 7th at 7:07 p.m. at Rene Caisse theatre in Bracebridge. Best wishes.

What a pleasant surprise to hear you. DIOLCH. Your concert in Bracebridge was outstanding and will last long in the memory of those who were fortunate enough to attend. The selection of songs was perfect, the harmonies superb and the diction incredible as if every chorister was born in Wales and Welsh being their first language. All conveyed with tremendous HWYL ! Wishing Toronto Welsh all the very best for the future. IECHU DA.
