My husband and I attended the Toronto Welsh Male Voice Choir at Knox Presbyterian Church, Waterloo yesterday. We were blown away by the beauty of their singing. We had thought everything would be in Welsh but actually a bit more than half was in English. The men sang so beautifully, enunciating every word clearly and exactly together so there was no trouble hearing the words. There were a lot of humorous comments made by the various speakers as they introduced the next few pieces. The pianist/organist was incredible. It was amazing watching his fingers flying over the keys or his feet moving swiftly on the organ foot pedals. The conductor was superb, mouthing all the words while his hands directed various sections at once. It was truly a wonderful afternoon. We will hope to have an opportunity to see this group again.
