In July I had the pleasure and privilege of joining the choir on their tour of S Wales. My brother, Michael Stevens invited my nephew Mark Luther as soloist and myself as his accompanist to perform in the Rhondda concert, our home area. We were both delighted with the invitation and thoroughly enjoyed being part of the concert. Michael is in the tenor section and apart from spending quality time with him, I was very proud to be associated with such a fine, well rehearsed choir. Their three concerts I attended at Tredegar, Rhondda and Llantrisant were of an exceptionally high standard with a wide repertoire ranging from welsh folk songs and hymns to spiritual and operatic numbers and some delightful Canadian songs which were new to me. They captivated their audiences with their balanced harmonies, clear diction (particularly welsh) varying dynamics and lively interpretations of their songs. Congratulations and many thanks to their talented conductor William Woloschuk and accomplished accompanist Christina Faye. I sincerely hope this will be the first of many tours of the U K. I wish you all every success and happy rehearsing in the months ahead. Thank you for giving so many people so much pleasure. Ann Cregan, Yoxall Sept. 1st, 2013.
