Fundraising Events

According to our constitution, as a charitable organization, part of the mandate of the TWMVC is to “undertake fundraising activities to be used for the purpose of furthering the objects of the organization.”
To this end, we regularly cooperate with diverse charities on fundraising events. Here are some moments from shows we’ve done for just a couple of our partners.

AMETHYST FOR ALS, HAMILTON HEALTH SCIENCES FOUNDATION

This organization performs critical research on the deadly disease ALS, and we were happy to help out as part of this 2019 concert.

STEPHEN LEWIS FOUNDATION GRANDMOTHERS TO GRANDMOTHERS CAMPAIGN

These wonderful ladies work tirelessly to support grandmothers in Sub-Saharan Africa in their efforts to raise grandchildren who have lost their parents to the ongoing HIV/AIDS pandemic in that region.
We often perform multiple concerts in a season in support of this cause, and are always amazed at the energy and commitment of “The Grannies” in fundraising and ticket sales.

Perhaps our favourite event is the annual Christmas concert we perform at Calvin Presbyterian Church, here in Toronto. Here are a couple of shots from the December, 2022 show.

We’ve also participated in concerts for other causes, such as prostate cancer research.

Now that we’re able to get out and perform in public again, we look forward to combining forces with other organizations like these in the future.
